Aidan Cream Pie!

On an endless search for healthy treats without a lot of sugar, I saw these wonderful little cream pies at whole foods and had to make them myself.

How easy, outside from whisking up the puffs out of a little flour and egg, I used raw milk cream, fresh strawberries and blueberries. I did add a little extra vanilla and raw sugar. My son was so surprised when I picked him up from piano lessons and presented him with a mini me cream pie.... These are going to be a staple in our home,

as they are easy to make, light on the sugar, and fresh-

They make a great snack!

Education Should Be Healthy!: Few Choices in the USA

Many of you know I am a big fan of Waldorf education, as I include a chapter of its benefits in my book "Beyond Natural Cures" but I should be more specific -Waldorf homeschooling is what I am talking about. More than that, by studying Reich and A.S. Neills work on the Democratic school movement called "Summerhill"- I am very much an unschooler a term that denotes American homeschoolers that attempt to find freedom and joy in learning without compulsory tests, rules and strict guidelines.
Let me explain in detail:

My best friend is a Waldorf teacher, she has helped me immensely over the years, if one wants to incorporate Waldorf, one must go to a source that is solid, dependable and uniform. The training to be a Waldorf teacher is rigorous and is a teaching degree that encompasses child psychology through the temperaments, advanced literary work and a variety of fine arts. There are many quality resources on-line for Waldorf homeschooling like ENKI, Christopherus, and Barbara Dewey's Waldorf Without Walls, but sadly there are a broad range of homeschooling groups run by people who have no training in Waldorf but just copy and paste information.

Take for example the unfortunate copyright incident I had last year with a so called "Waldorf Homeschooling CEO" a woman named Kristie Burns. I started getting a slew of emails from homeschoolers who downloaded my music program off of a website called waldorfschoolonline, or also known as "earth schooling." These people said they loved my Waldorf Pentatonic Music and Foreign Langauge Program and that they purchased it through her site.

To my surprise this woman had indeed downloaded my music program that my children and I made together, and my oldest son arranged and was selling it to people as part of her $500 homeschooling package!! I was very shocked and had to take legal action- she owed me thousands of dollars- but what upset me the most was that this woman was not even trained in Waldorf- she merely helped out in her oldest daughters Waldorf preschool in Chicago ten years ago and decided she would set up shop as a "Waldorf Authority." Unfortunately, there are many people out there like this and is one reason why AWSNA, the national Waldorf Association is considering trademarking the name. These types of people are not educators but a mixture of both intellectual and common thieves.

This is exactly what happened to Reich's information, people misrepresenting Reich and turning it into a reflection of their own mechanical or mystical character structure and changing it to suit their own mental sickness. Reich and Steiner are both dead, and so there is something sacred about honoring ones life work and research. In my own life, though I utilized many different methods with my children and family- I strive to preserve and honor the information I use and follow it from a reliable source. Here is my own Waldorf Democratic Unschooling pattern;

I believe in a democratic, non-compulsive style of learning but follow Waldorf principles because Waldorf offers a naturopathic education through the use of natural materials and the intrinsic development of the right and left brain, by utilizing primarily art, music and fairy tales before the age of 9 and then more intellectual pursuits such as advancing reading and mathematics after the molars have come in. There is alot of mysticism in Waldorf, which personally I view as parallels and metaphors for learning. Democratically, I allow my children to choose what they want to study and work at their own pace. The choices became more and more after the age of nine, but before nine we really focused on imitation and rhythm.

Now that I am honored to see my own children enter high school level and feel confident about where they are going in their life and also feel fulfilled, in contrast to their schooled friends which are either pushed and intellectually burned out or just hanger outters with now plans or expectations for themselves- I am very pleased at the results.
I say this type of education is for everyone, because everyone is an individual and has the right to be treated as such and not just a test score for the institution-
which has left our children behind.

Love is in the air...Valentines Day is coming and my new book on love and relationships will be published just in time! My husband and I were going over some of our pictures over the last 24 years of our lives together. We were all laughing but then realizing that being in love and in a relationship with someone for more than half of our life was a true accomplishment. We have loved eachother and hated eachother over the years- at least on the surface but inside we have a deep commitment and a love affair that we both know will never end. Many times I sat down to write a bio, but up until this year my life and story was only half written, I now stand at the forefront of my destiny and understand the high cost of being in love and taking a vow. The last 24 years together have not been easy, but we both realize it was a series of steps up and down, and back up eventually leading to heaven. I look forward to sharing my life story with you, it is shockingly unbelievable, courageous, life-changing and uplifting. This is a life long project and I am so proud and honored to be able to have put it together and to help others STAY TOGETHER,

The Cubs of Cougar Town: Unfit Parents & Unnatural Kids

As if to correlate with my latest blogs on children of single "cougaresque" mothers and child temperaments and birthdays, I had another unfortunate encounter tonight with my daughter's Facebook friend. Yes, you have heard many Facebook horror stories and these Facebook situations are now looking remarkably similar to the Craigslist chaos, in which people were raped and killed after posting sexy pictures on Craigslist, as in the movie, "The Craigslist Killer" or the story about a man who posted an ad out in Craigslist with pictures of his wife naked and an address-and then she was attacked at her home. The world is a scary place and how much more so for our dear children who depend on us parents/guardians to protect them.

A girl on my daughter's Facebook posted a picture of herself, half naked, with a padded bra and tank top revealing her stomach and then she had boyshort underwear on that revealed practically her entire butt cheek-in which she was sticking out...to top it off she was holding a lollipop! I asked my daughter, who on earth is this child and where are her parents...she conceded that she did not know.

A glance through her pictures reveals more stripper type pictures in padded bikinis and simulating oral sex with balloons...this poor girl is only 14 years old- the mother and father are on her Facebook account. Pictures of her mothers desperate attempt of looking sexy taken with her cell phone and pictures of the mother with a new flavor of the month boyfriend shows that the daughter is emmulating the mother. And the father? He is living out his childhood dream in a bar, surrounded by drunk available 50 something females. This reveals the sad truth-no one cares. This was not acceptable to my husband and I and we didn't think twice about deleting this young girl-which was ironic, because this is the big problem, everyone has been emotionally and physically deleting her all along. What lies in store for a woman at 18 years old, who is behaving like this at 14? Sure, we turn these pictures into the authorities but that is not the cure for the problem of parents inability to love their children, because if they can't who can or will?

Its a sad day when the State knows how to better take care of children than the parents. Nowadays, with the prevalence of television, fast food, video games, cell phones and drugs (pharmaceutical)- parents really don't have to take care of their children at all and yet even with all of these "baby sitting advances" parents still cannot do simple things like feed their children, tell them to go to sleep, dress them properly for the weather or...stop their children from prostituting themselves....

It is safe to say, this 14 year old cub of a cougar, is living out the sickness and mental disease her mother placed on her. This is the proof I was looking for in my article on "Is there Room for Children in Cougar Town"- Pictures of the mother and daughter side by side- in the same sexual poses as if to say "Free, take one." But what I see is a child crying out, "Help me- I am all alone." This horrible discovery has made me very sad for the future of our children and the children my children will grow up with.

In a Reichian sense, I understand the mothers are aging and have sexual needs-that there is a push for an aging female to feel young sexually as they realize that they are approaching menopause. Perhaps this knowledge in and of it self causes a type of delirium that causes the mothers to forget their children at the expense of their genital obsession. I believe the core of this problem could be solved if women were just honest with themselves and stopped trying to mix their genitally focused one night stands with their family life-as if the quest is to convince themselves and their family that they are not socially castrated "whores." The outcome of this continued assault on the mother, by the mother, is severe disconnection and literal disease in their children.

While I judge not whether these acts are immoral or moral- as to some degree if someone is mentally sick and broken, they cannot help but to fall short morally (speaking of moral being the presence of love and respect within the sex act). However, if women just said, "Look, I need to have sex and instead of bringing this weirdo home with me, or letting my children see how sexually dysfunctional I truly am, I will act respectful and honorable in front of my children and tonight when they are at their dad's I will meet that stranger and instead of trying to take him home to play house with my children I will take him to a hotel and not talk to him again.." Ok, that sounds horrible I know, but in the confusion of modern sexuality, women are just not thinking clearly and are confusing love for sex because we have been taught it is wrong for a woman to just have sex for sex, that women have to redeem themselves by always making it look like they are doing it for love.

Now, of course this is different from starting a relationship with a man and getting to know him and after several months introducing him to the children. The problem is that single mothers are struggling with their sex life and cannot find balance- point blank, if you need to ----, leave your children out of it. What is worse?, Schizophrenically splitting yourself as mother of your children and back street "whore" at different times of the week or attempting to unsucessfully merge the two personalities simutaneously in the presence of your children and family? This comes down to women being honest about their sexual needs and also validating the fact they need to protect and love their children. Obviously, dangerous sexual behavior such as meeting strangers over the internet for sex-compromises your ability to mother your children safely....but people are people and they will do what they do when they get desperate and crazy enough. Is it too much to ask- a little sanity, in the midst of insanity?

Raising children is difficult, but raising children as a single parent is even harder-I have compassion for these individuals as I myself spent six months as a single mother a few years ago. I felt a rousing empathy for children who were left behind by their parents careless sexual pursuits.

I know you've been waiting for this- here is the new cover, my hubby helped me design it, this was a rose we found at the Toledo, OH Zoo! Everything is coming together nicely in the book, my editor did an outstanding job and now I am just finishing up the footnotes and formatting. Scheduled release is VALENTINES DAY!!! You can imagine how excited I am- Many people have been emailing me wanting to go on a list. Don't worry, it will be available on lulu, through my website, and in a few months Amazon. Thank you everyone for giving me the support and inspiration to write this story of my life. Thanks especially, to a special woman, who's own tragic life story of childhood abandonment of her father and the chronic illness of her and her two children, inspired me to write my own story. She gave me lots of pictures to use for the cover, and I appreciate those and enjoy looking at them- but we decided on the flowers. Thank you for letting me keep them, we will use them for a new project! : )

Bad Luck Birthdays...It Could Be YOU!

Wow, I cannot believe the response from my article on children's birthdays, temperments and the meaning of the number 13. I got an email yesterday from a woman who had the birthday of 3/1/1971, this is the opposite of the birthday I gave yesterday in my article on children. This woman wanted to know if her destiny or lifepath number was the dreaded number 13, as she had a chronic weight problem and suffered from emotional disconnection as a result of her impoverished early childhood and a subseqent divorce. Well, I am sorry to say, the life path is also 13!

This number 13 will follow you around your entire life and ruin your chances of happiness and fulfillment, unless one learns the life lessons that the numbers energy was intending to teach. Take for instance a woman I know with a 13 life path, she has married and divorced a few times, suffers from problems with her children and has been "unlucky" in love as she chooses the same types of wrong men, continually. More than that, she always acts the same in the relationship-presenting the same outcomes. I have thought many times, how different her life would be if she just stepped out of that circle and saved herself, and the negative effects her behavior on her children. She has made herself the victim of the number 13 instead of a triumphant warrior of it. From not learning from ones tragic mistakes, not only is one doomed to repeat them but their children are effected for many generations.

Let me tell you how to figure it out yourself so that I am not inundated with a ton of emails on this, as numerology is really just a hobby of mine and not my career. Ok, so you take the dates and add them up- thats it, so it is 1+3=4 or 3+1=4
1+9= 1 (0) 7+1=8, so reducing it you have 5+8=13. You can see, in this case of reverse, it does not make a difference as far as the entire life destiny. Now, to get a full picture of ones life, you need to add up the birth name and compare that number to the life path number and see how it compares, competes, helps or hurts the situation.

Obviously, if your name equals 13 and your life path equals 13, you are really in the midst of double trouble. But because of the negative karma associated with the number 13-any name associated with it is going to negate it to a certain degree. For me, I loved my birth name, but it equalled 13, this was not what I wanted on the cover of my book- six years ago-by changing my name to a name that equalled the powerful number 33, I opened up an entirely new energy into my life. It is said that it takes seven years to fully acclimate the new energy of a name. Such as a name change from a marriage, does this some how contribute to the seven year marriage dischord called the "Seven Year Itch."

My name change, 33, also influenced my life path which was 9, which, correlated mathmatically because 3 is the primary number of 9. Within the last seven years of my own name change I have painted over 20 paintings, written six books and developed all types of creative aspects of my life I never knew I had. My birthyear, 1975, equals 22, another double number which is the number of the great architect, someone who builds something lasting for the world for many generations. This energy because it is the year number is set to come into full fruition in the latter part of my life. I will say, introducing this powerful 33 energy into my life was difficult on my marriage-as with anything, those around you are directly affected and have to acclimate to the effects as well.

So, in the case of the inverted birthdays- such as 1/3 or 3/1, you have a flip or exchange of different circumstances in your life. So, if your were born in the first month, your beginning years would be marked with independence- spending alot of time alone, not alot of friends, perhaps the abandonment in early childhood from an attachment figure in your life, like a father. If it was the 3rd day or 30th = 3 (0), the middle part of your life is spent on superficiality and fun times-while three is a magical number of intuition and creativity. If one is not enlightened to a certain degree that number is squandered in deadened pursuits and living for the moment. It is far better for one to have the 3 earlier in life than later. A continual problem that 3's experience is inbalance, unlike a two, that can weigh life in a balanced perspective- a 3, is always too far one way or the other, another number that suffers this fate is 7.

I hope this answers some of your questions, I wrote a chapter on jyotish, the Indian science of using color and stones to influence ones health through astrological placement. It is a fascinating subject, even when viewed just for fun or entertainment. For me, I have seen the benefits of color therapy and the influence of numbers-so, this is a hobby that I like to share!

Waldorf Children and Astrology: How Does YOUR Garden Grow?

My son at two years old...my hopes for him to fly high!

At 15 he is a beautiful person, Cordero de Dios we call him, he
is now harnessing his intense scorpio rising,

the serious virgo queen, my daughter at 4

At 13 she has lightened up, enjoying her taurus/venus rising!

My baby, going through the 9 year change...he has a capricorn rising, which indicated
a disconnection with his mother- evident since birth, he bonded to my husband,
it took me two years of dedication and reattachment
to get through this emotional riff and heal our relationship- which is now loving and close.

This week has been grueling for me, while working on my own book, my nine year old is also writing a book! I don't want to stifle his creative process so I have been sitting down with him and helping him with spelling and grammar. Then my older son is applying for highschool and working on very difficult Chopin and Beethoven pieces, he is now practicing four to five hours a day. Then there is our literary work, on saturday, we read two chapters of Dicken's "Oliver Twist" and did essays- we started out at 11 am and didn't finish until 7pm. The tone and narrative qualities of Dicken's work can be well...a real Dickens!

A little bit on astrology and numbers: The Number 13
I have a deadline for alot of this work, it is January 30th, January- the month of death, ruled by saturn under the sign of capricorn- is almost over-thankfully! In fact, January 30th can be an especially bad karma day for those born on January 30- 1962, 1971 or 1980, in which case that person's destiny would equal 13-meaning their entire life they would be repeating the same mistakes over and over, not learning from them. Unlike your name, you cannot change your birthday! A name that equals 13, like my birthname, can be easily changed, even by adding or substituting letters- but if your destiny number is 13 you have hard work ahead of you. Since the destiny number is a summation of your entire life, its not an energy that you will move into and out of as in having your birthday on the day of the 13, which would only indicate a difficult period of your life. As I practice jyotish, I help people with the scientific aspects of Ayurvedic astrology and overcoming malicious energies like this that are working against you and not for you.

Moving into the irratic month of Febuary, Aquarius is always unstable and unpredictable- like the planet Uranus that it represents, the planet of change. I never had my children in these months as these large distant planets, are not my favorite energy to work with, however, like the symbol of aquarious, once a person finally learns the life lesson of breaking their ego, and letting it pour out-much freedom and happiness can ensue! We have much to learn in the month of Febuary!

This week I went through some old pictures- I am noticing the changes my Waldorf children have gone through and grown into. My oldest son, in the butterfly picture is a leading, sanguine/choleric Aries- he has developed into a beautiful man and is much more serious now and dedicated, exhibiting more phlegmatic and methodical qualities. My daughter, a serious and melancholic child, has developed a more sanguinal nature and has a GREAT sense of humor now, she makes me laugh so hard-daily! My little one, almost ten, he is the most balanced- born under gemini/cancer at the solstice, he is sanguine, choleric, phlegmatic and melancholic. He is able to express crying, love, hatred, fear and confidence- he is so in touch with his emotions, I contribute this to not just his birthday but the reattachment I made with him through orgonomy, a beautiful home water birth, breast feeding him, staying home and taking care of him and not circumcising him. He is my "ubermensche" and he blesses us with his lively, theatrical appearance every day.

I hope you are enjoying watching the fruits of your hard labor- children are an investment in time and love and what you get back is really ten fold! In honor of Khalil Ghibrain's birthday this month, I am reminded of his poem book that I have, the Prophet, and he told us that our children are not ours, but they come through us, to be sent out into the world- like an arrow, to go farther than us.

January Updates with Dr. Aurore

Writing like crazy! I have been working day and night with these new edits my editor gave me. I finally finished this weekend and celebrated by going out with a dear friend of mine. It felt good to just get out and have fun for a bit. Now back to the drawing board- I have to start on footnotes. The good news is, we revised the cover and its amazing- I am so happy with all of it. My hubby is reading it right now-as he always gets all of my manuscripts first! I estimate less then one month until publishing. I should be ready for formatting next week some time. I will keep you posted...

Is there Room for Children in Cougar Town?

So many people enjoyed my articles on how the kids in our modern culture are not alright (in reference to the movie, "The Kids are Alright.") I now bring you a follow up to that article, this time looking at parents and how they contribute to their children's neurosis. We have all heard the gruesome and psychologically devastating stories about how children's lives are ruined after they send pornographic pictures of themselves out into the world. These children experience a humiliating social castration, tantamount to a modern novel of Nathaniel Hawthorne's "Scarlet Letter." Children need supportive and strong adults in their lives to lead them and guide them, but what if those adults lack guidance themselves and function on the level of children? Not only do the children fall into a social despair, but the parents contribute by actually leading them to it.

This morning I learned about how the mothers are now behaving like this, a type of freaky sexual friday. This is the first I had heard of this phenomenon, but it maybe a strong indication of where the world of modern pornography is headed.

Some middle-aged women looking for attention, cougars, as they are called now, are wearing this title with pride, all the while studying their role in shows such as "Cougar Town" and "Sex and the City" and filling their lives with fantasy romance novels. Well, they are forgetting one important thing, their children and for the most part the fantasy party is over. These exploitive images whether taken in fun or in serious desperation can destroy a family and a mother's relationship with her children through loss of respect.

When not in Hollywood, you will find the majority of these sex-crazed cougars are mothers, mothers first and cougars second...at least that is how it should be. While no one expects single mothers to remain sexless and lonely forever, the modern display of media pornography is an epidemic and some women feel that in order to get a man or keep him, that they must compete with disgusting images--of meaningless sex with non-emotion. Are we teaching our children that women are nothing but sex toys to be used, abused and thrown away like garbage?

This is one reason why I home school, not because I believe in sheltering my children from life, but because life is being sold to the American public as pornography: in television, music, schools, computers and books- its saturated. By not having a television and homeschooling, I cut out some of their exposure to deviant and dysfunctional sexuality but not all- we don't live in a bubble, however, I have sought to create a bubble or haven I should say, free of these types of these types of distractions. Living a Waldorf lifestyle, has it limits, but ultimately it is liberating and freeing in terms of creating an environment where children can be children and enjoy a childhood void of plastic poison toys and gross-hardened sexual images. A Waldorf child's life is fulfilled and is running over with life energy and creativity of the soul.

Real Love is Alright!!
By contrast, I am in no way anti-sexual or looking at sex religiously, but within a concept of Reichian psychology. Sex, is making love, or should be. When two people who are truly in love and committed to that love, come together to honor and respect each other in a meaningful sexual way is non-pornographic and the way sex was intended to be used for. But when two people use each other to get off for the moment, or use children as part of their sex-games as in the case of the mother giving out pornographic pictures to children or as in introducing their sex partners to their children, without reverence to the child's thoughts and inner feelings---is the most malicious and deviant form of connection there is. Rather than worshipping at the throne of the almighty penis, cougar mothers, have to be absolutely sure that they are willing and ready to sacrifice the relationship with their children for their twisted sexual behavior. Quite simply, put your children first, or don't have them.

I hope if you find yourself in the role as a single mother, as I did for a time last year- you will always think about your beautiful children and put them first. SOTA: A Look at Exploitive Natural Health Gadgets

Recently i was asked what I thought about the SOTA products for natural health. A variety of health machines to "heal your life." I am familar with SOTA and as you have already guessed, I have some reservations. I think personally, that their prices far exceed the therapeutic value and they exploit therapies that are available else where cheaper....this is a big, biff of mine, and I harp alot about it in my first book, Beyond Natural Cures. The moral is, health should not cost alot of money and that we need to reprogram ourselves from thinking that just because something has a large price tag doesn't mean that it is better than less expensive therapies. I know I will get some hate mail for this one, but here goes, my quick assessment:

The SOTA- light works- extremely expensive for color therapy which should be no more than five dollars, and is used wrong because the body needs an entire hour to acclimate...

The infra red aspects of this machine are good- as I have an infra red sauna,
but for that device- no more than $100 would be more than enough...

Then the colloidal silver generator SOTA offers- these had their hay day back in the year 2000, I myself would not ingest colloidal silver, unless I was really sick and dying with something very serious- however, a decent colloidal silver generator should run you no more than $50, and they are easy to build...for under $10... I have one and used it for about 12 years now... it is wonderful to clean with and on wounds.

Ozonated water machine, Ozone- is not good, the idea that ozone is the same as oxygen is truly false- it has an extra molecule and cannot be assimilated into the body- or lungs as in using it as an air purifier...
What you are looking for are the healing aspects of oxygen, it is far better to invest in a simple Victor Schauberger device that oxygenates and energizes it by the simple action of funnelling....or high quality therapeutic food grade hydrogen peroxide, which has an extra molecule of hydrogen but the same molecular structure for oxygen.

The SOTA Bio-tuner- I work in cymatics which is using wave lengths for healing, using color and sound- I am not sure what type of resonancy this device offers, but most of them have been a sham...for wave lengths for health, and harmonics, it would be better to buy a therapeutic wind chime and use a fan, it functions as a gigantic tuning fork, I have one in my office....

Again, as I have said many times, many of these fancy devices work by placebo effect, they can help your mind decide to heal through the process of monetary exchange, and there is benefit, of course, I am just trying to help save you money and time. My belief true healing comes through one person to another, energetically, and that these machines, though beneficial, are secondary to what the human body can do for itself and each other.

The Reichian Ballet: Wilhelm Reich's Theories Set to Music and Dance

For the last few years I have spoken with friends about the amazing idea of a Reichian Opera/ballet-My friend from Greece is a composer and a music therapist, he agrees that something that contains all the foundations of
Wilhelm Reich theories of Orgone and expansion and contraction
should be available. I had thrown around the idea of John Cage's work,
but his work seemed to be missing the deeper and contactful aspects of it.
It wasn't until I watched with my children tonight- two different ballets of Stravinsky's "Right of Spring" did I realize it and see it.
I stumbled upon the late Bejart's Ballet troupe performing it- it felt
as if I was watching the movement of expansion and contraction unfold,
with so much passion and longing...movement and energy,
I had watched another one, which was also powerful as at one point in
the ballet the lead ballerina's breasts were exposed in a type of musical ectasy, but the mail figures of the dance were dead and lifeless looking.
Not so with Bejart, you could see the dancing bodies pulsating with life. I kept thinking, this type of life movement I am watching on stage cannot be faked, these people are apart of something mammoth and ground shaking.
I can see why that Parisian's took to the street to riot after its premier- the feelings and expansion of sight and sound they must have experienced, without ever seeing television before, brought them to a level of insanity.
Stravinsky's work rocked the Victorian era and helped to usher the time of hope and healing of Wilhelm Reich.

My New LOVE Book: Problems with Intimacy, Addressed

Today is the solstice and I was so pleased to finish and copyright my new book on this special day! It is being editted at the moment but I could not wait to share it with all of you.

In the same style of my previous books I meld Reichian psychotherapy/orgonomy in with my personal life story. A tragic and heroic tale, it will elicit feelings within you of hope, joy, sadness and restoration. My daughter and I designed the cover last night. We took a picture of a heart rose at the Toledo, Ohio zoo, then we added some graphics and came up with this idea.

I worked all day today in the spa giving facials-until 9:00 pm,
apparently, everyone wants a facial a week before Christmas! This unexpected bump has cut into my writing time for my book, I am now on page 95 and I am just finishing my last chapter. This feels so good and I have looked long and hard for a publishing house that can handle all of my work, DVDs, etc. I am in negotiations right now with a few places and The national waldorf association is interested in my children and I's music and foreign language program. I can tell I will be very busy over the next few months, but my aim is to get all six of my books published by the end of summer.

It's the Winter Solstice, and the week of prophecy- are you going to do something magical? My husband and I got the yule log ready and the kids decorated it, it is a tradition to save a piece for the next year and not let it burn all the way down-you keep it in your house for protection. The Holly and the ivy are wrapped around. Ivy can be a very malific plant, but we use it to bind the new year. Our Christmas tree smells wonderful too- my husband and I like to lay down in front of the tree and the fire place and just cuddle...these are a few of our favorite holiday things!

Daughters: That Loving Special Bond...

Me in 1991! Same Dress!

I do alot of things with all three of
my children: crafts, homeschooling, cooking. But my daughter and I have this really special bond. She is so different from me but we really have grown to compliment eachother and appreciate eachother's uniqueness, differences and strengths. She is extremely self confident and strong, I have learned alot from her in that way. I am very fun and social and I have helped her come out of her shell of shyness over the years. People really cannot believe she is the same child because she changed so much. Last night was a defining moment. It was the night of her and my sons Christmas concert and I pulled out my designer Cynthia Rowley dress my mother got me for Christmas from 1991. I remember I begged my mom that year to get it after I saw it in Vogue magazine- and I was soo happy to get it on Christmas Eve. Last night, she tried on the dress and it fit like a glove! As a belt I just tied a present ribbon around her little waist- she was the bell of the ball. After the concert her and I had fun looking up old pictures from when I was her age, alot of them were modeling pictures-I feel honored to be able to pass the torch to her.

This has also been a year of special gifts, for three years I have been hiding my ruby and diamond heart necklace my husband got me when I graduated from highschool, I placed in in a gold box that had a miraculous medal on it, I waited for the day to come when she finally became a woman. The moment she did this summer, we had a big celebration, her friends came over, we took her out to eat and I presented her with this special gift, she started crying and then I started crying- This is just an encouraging note to those special mother and daughter bonds- how important they are and how I realize I will never have a friend so dear to my heart or so close as my dear daughter : )

Hello! What a wonderful weekend. I had a special contact the other day through my website. A production company wanting me to make a proposal for my book "Beyond Natural Cures" to go to series! I was so excited I got on it right away. I have been working on the proposal all weekend but looks like they want it to come from a reality TV perspective. This would be great, but only if it was starring me, doing my own work! I would not want it to be like the Jerry Seinfeld episodes where he was watching someone else pretend to be him. So, I had a photo shoot this weekend, to accompany my proposal. It was exciting to put it all together, stay posted for more information...the thing is, I have no TV- so how does one approach these things...so tonight I research!

I have taken a few months off of work to start my Michigan book tour, but I have now been inspired to start on something new, but old.
Several years ago I copyrighted a book I wrote, but never published it. I have decided to get it out and rework it. It is a book on surviving American
marriage, more than just marriage though it is an honest look at long term relationships and how to sustain them in a time of fast trends, media mind hypnosis and instant gratification. Many people have asked me about how I
have survived a relationship with a man for 20 years, a person who was my first boyfriend when I was only 13! It has not been easy, and the story is not

for the faint of heart. But as I quickly approach 40 years old and I watch my own children pass the definitive age of 13, I am compelled to help others to go for the gold in their own relationships, find the strength and get through the hurdles-to finally enjoy the ultimate prize- a deep and profound connection on a physical and spiritual level which can only be developed by investing many years of commitment, time, patience and understanding. This story also comes from an orgonomic/Reichian perspective and is reflective upon 10 years of orgonomic therapy and Naturopathic psychotherapy.
I believe my story will coincide with so many others who long to deeply connect with another but have been met with insurmountable odds and struggles.

I want to share with all of you a little taste of small town Michigan, where I live. We woke up yesterday to a magical blanket of wet, heavy snow. It was breathtaking and perfect timing for Christmas! We sang Christmas songs, such as our favorite, "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" on our way to band class. Michigan landscape is varied, its not flat like in Indiana, but has it's flat part. Where I live, closer to mid-Michigan and the capital it is woodsy and not heavily populated. Since we live on so many acres, one thing we enjoy is cross country skiing around our property and living on a hill, a Swedish dog sled I bought the kids is a yearly favorite. Now that we have a new dog, but a puppy, he will be riding inside the sled this year....

Brother and sister, looks like my husband and I-20 years ago!

Santa came a little early for the kids. My husband and I planned to go get the puppy on Christmas Eve but we drove about two hours away to pick out our puppy and we couldn't leave without him! The kids were so shocked and excited, we kept it a perfect secret! This time we got an Australian Cattle Dog, we had a red one about 15 years ago and now we bought a blue. He is like a little bundle of joy, we are enjoying just holding him on the couch by the fire. The kids have been good sleeping with him every night and taking him out to go potty every few hours- I don't even have to wake up! He cries like a baby and plays- he has really brightened our life for the holidays. As I type he is cuddled on my lap. We named him Bizcocho, which is cake in Spanish. One more little pleasant stress for the holiday season.

Christmas starts early around here. The kids start playing and rehearsing Christmas music by mid October, October 30 is our first day of the Christmas season, music, home-made egg nog, and wonderment as we work daily on crafts and gifts for two months! Two years ago I started to knit a character in my children's favorite Christmas story- the Tomtin, I still haven't finished it, I have spiral leg warmers to finish for my daughter for Christmas, a hat for a new friends baby, and hopefully I will finish this little wool knitted guy for our Nature table. We bought the pattern and wool through our friend Susan at Weir Dolls Ann Arbor : )

So, You are thinking, you wrote a book..started an angel business...its the holidays....you must be
stressed. It is good stress, I am actually catching up on lots of things in my life right now as last year I took a year off of everything due to severe emotional upheavals. Back in the swing of things and with the love and support of my husband and family, I am feeling better than ever. The kids have made some majore advancements in making their Waldorf forms. My husband and I got to watch our two other children perform in a Christmas parade and my very good amie/friend- from Quebec had a baby. The kids and I worked for months on her hat and we made the special card for the baby part of our homeschooling lesson. Personalizing art and gifts, making things your own and then giving them away freely- is what this Christmas season is about and is apart of the Waldorf foundation. Right now I am working on books about the Saints with my little one. He loves the stories about St. Francis and St. Columba. The story of St. Columba and his book he wrote with the beautiful calligraphy started a whole other new lesson on Lombardic calligraphy- we had fun one night just making all different types of letters.

Ok, I am bragging a bit here, I am so proud of my 13 year old daughter, she started her own business. A few years ago the kids and I made some super soft merino wool angels for Christmas gifts. The teenage crew...

We had a fun weekend I took my children and their friends to UofM at 9 am on saturday. We watched the band play before the game. It was very exciting and all of the kids were very inspired. Then we walked about two miles to the art museum. We spent quite some time at the Tiffany exhibit and the few Picasso's they had there. After a quick organic lunch, we headed back home where the kids jammed in their band, we have a studio for them in our lower level, complete with three guitars, keyboards, amps, drums...a very fun place to be on a friday night!
...We also began to make home made merino wool Christmas ornaments. I don't know if you remember the blog I had before, a few years back, but now these ornaments are really catching on. We have three different stores that sell them now and so we have to make about 30 to stock this year. After that we will be making wet wool matrioshka doll ornaments and big wool Christmas gnomes....
On top of all this I am working day and night at the wool spiral leg warmers I am trying to get done for my daughter for Christmas...it is crunch time, but an exciting season. We will be making our annual trip to Christmas land or also known as Frankenmuth. A quaint little alpine Christian town filled with lights and good food. Until then, enjoy the season, I know I am : )

Autistic Son Healed: Update Six Years Later, Celiac Free!

I get alot of emails about my son that used to be autistic, people who have read my book "Beyond Natural Cures" are always wondering, what's going on now?! Well, you often see him with me when I go for book signings or when I do public speaking. He loves to help.

.... my son is now enjoying his teenage years healed but atypical. The autism has left him with an exuberant capacity to love, see and heal. By love and see I mean that he is able to see through superficiality and understand humanity in a profound way .

By the word heal, I mean that he can reach out and touch people without fear, often in the spot that hurts. He has a healing touch, this is a stark contrast from a child that was not able to touch or be touched. His eyes are soft, melting and contactful. This is a far cry from the autistic blank stare he had as a child.

I attribute all of these great strides to the orgonomy and reattachment work that my husband and I did with him, on top of the physical work such as detoxing etc....
His celiac disease is still gone, he enjoys a varied diet as well : )

So, its that time again, if you've been following my blog for the last 4 years then you will already know that we do a few dance videos a year. The ELO video last winter was a real hit and then this summer my fans really enjoyed my Rolling Stones family videos. Well, this video was actually a planned flash mob, my kids love to dance and have no stage fright....apparently I live in a bubble, as I found out many kids in their early teens are very afraid to dance and feel embarrassed. I took my crew to a local school to find some participants, you will see in the video that there was not alot of participation. This is a stark contrast to the initial excitement to participate! At any rate, it was a joy to do, I love working with my kids and they are so very cool to think I am cool and include me in their dance video- they know their ole' mama loves to dance too! I taught them this dance in just a few days and all in all it turned out to be a half halloween and half Christmas Video mostly filmed in my yoga studio. I hope you enjoy your holidays this year! Trinfinity8 Update: Mind Zombie or Mind Health- You Choose!

My Trinfinity8 blog continues to be one of my top blogs. It is sad to find out, in this economy where money is so scarce-that people desperate for a cure and easy health are investing in this mystical machine for $8,000. People who are falling for this scam are already going into it hypnotized, already losing their sound mind and judgement.

If we really want to throw out science and hard facts and just look at Trinfinity8 from a fairy tale perspective, then let's look at the message of the Wizard of Oz, which is essentially-the answer lies within you. This is what Dorothy finds out after being erroneously sucked into the idea of a Wizard that was going to give her what she already had.

This also coincides with the Biblical precept "The Kingdom of God is within you." Luke 17:21 and also one of my favorite American poets Ralph Waldo Emerson who stated, "What lies behind us, what lies before us, are small matters compared to what lies within us." I hope that this blog is not taken as a slam on these magical machines as much as it is an intention to help invigorate and motivate people to seek healing for themselves and harness this truth of the universe.

I have been in orgonomy and natural health for almost 20 years and believe me, I went through my pill stage, my machine stage, and my health insanity phase...but in the end,
one learns or should eventually learn that health cannot be bought and it doesn't come through a computer or in a bottle of magic pills.

Ok, It Might Actually Work!
Honestly, this machine may work for you because if you need an $8,000 placebo to make you do what you need to do and think what you need to think-then, it is worth it. It was a magical night of Christmas music, home-made organic food, massages and facials. My book party was such I hit I had to do it two weeks in a row. I wore the special dress my hubby got me for sweetest day, it is a Nicole Ritchie Winter Kate silk gown. After I did a few facials I enjoyed the party with my friends who stayed. My new painting was introduced and everyone was very excited to take pictures with it!

Wilhelm Reich: Inventor of Free Love Book Critique By: Aurore Adamkiewicz, NHD

Since Reich's work is featured prominently in all of my books, I thought you would enjoy a recap of Reich and my personal critique on a new book about Wilhelm Reich. Reich's book "Character Analysis," published 1933, brought biology and psychology together; muscular armoring, energy blocks, somatic illness and the biological nature of energy itself were later investigated and developed with Reich's research in such works as "The Function of the Orgasm" "Cancer Biopathy" and "Beyond Psychology." His belief in freeing up an organism to heal by releasing blocked orgone energy in the body has changed the dynamics of psychology and cold psycho-analysis forever. Freud was his teacher and mentor but he expanded on Freud's work and even refuted some of his theories such as the death instinct.

This is why I am very upset about a book written by Christopher Turner
about Wilhelm Reich, "Wilhelm Reich: The Man Who Invented Free Love."
His book is filled with pornographic fantasies and fabrications of
Reich's work and his invention called the orgone accumulator.
As a student of Reich for over ten years and also having worked
with and studied with Orgonomists over the years, this book makes my stomach sick. Especially, knowing that Reich is not alive to defend his work from the emotionally plagued masses that still just don't get it.

Turner asserts that Reich's intentions were to come to the United States and give immorality and free sex ideas to socialites, elites and politicians. The idea was to lessen the guilt on politicians so they could be free to "F--k and destroy." Anyone who knows anything about Reich's work and biography knows that his interests were never to schmooze with the politicians and the elitists. He would not have died in such a blatant and undignified fashion if he had such connections. After he was publically humiliated and his books burned, he mysteriously died in prison from heart failure/or more literally a broken heart mixed with whatever special food the government fed him.

Another bold and erroneous distortion that Turner makes is that Woody Allen and Reich were some how connected. That Allen's idea of an orgasmatron a little machine that could give you orgasms quickly and easily was some how connected to Reich's therapeutic device the Orgone Accumulator. A device that Reich invented and used to help heal the body and even cancer. Woody Allen and Reich have the fact that they are both of the male species in common, but that is about all. It is insulting to even use both of their names in the same sentence.

Woody Allen was interested in getting off pornographically with the least possible emotional investment.

Reich was interested in helping to free up emotional orgonotic blocks in humanity, with the greatest emotional expense and truly nothing less.

He very much hated pornography and the word f--k Turner, completely misunderstands what Reichs work is, which isn't surprising as people who are blocked in their eyes and heart cannot understand even the most simplist ideals.

Orgone energy- is apart of the orgasm and an essential part of biology, not vice versa- it is not that the orgasm is the end all energy to heal the nations. But, it is a signal and flag. Frigidity, impotence and orgasm dysfunction are an absolute way to identify orgone blocks in the human body. This is all proven, clinical information and it was in no way applicable to such questionable and disgraceful characters such as Woody Allen and sex researcher Alfred Kinsey. Reich was not researching sex, but orgone energy and how it applies to the atmosphere, character and the human body.

Reich did not believe in the western puritanical pornographic ideals regarding sex. But to make it clear he did not go too far to the left or right his idea about sex was balanced. Sex was that it was a product of love and respect not something dirty, pornographic and shaming. Orgasm was a pleasure release necessary to human health and functioning.

Turner's book eludes to the idea that because someone goes around "f---ing" everyone means they are "free" or emotionally freed up as Reich would say. This does not
mean that a person is free or freed up, neither does it mean that they have any feeling in their heart or genitals. It may mean that the person does not value human relationship and is obsessed with genitalia as a means to connect as in nymphomania, this is a stark contrast to health and healthy relationships.

Reich's intentions were for people to return to their feelings and emotions, for people to connect and release. That pleasure anxiety as a type of neurosis could be conquered and people could live a life free of muscular armor and disease.
I hope you I have inspired you to read more about Reich! I myself have written two books about Reichs work, one in regards to skin care and weightloss, "Beyond Natural Skincare" and the another in regards to how orgone therapy healed my son of autism..called "Beyond Natural Cures."

Its not freaky or sexy as you would imagine, but my work is actually intended to help people, educate them and to honor Reich's work in a truthful manner.

Early Reading is UNHEALTHY for Children!

I have been pleasantly surprised and happy about all of the information coming out lately about the harmful effects of TV and how it is detrimental to children's developing brains. On the flip side, I have been very unhappy about the cell phone lobbyists and sold-out American scientists that have been actively promoting that cell phones do not cause cancer and are not harmful for children. These must be the same scientists that promote breast implants, fluorescent lighting and vaccines as being safe. In light of all of this, I have been wanting, myself, to touch on an obscure subject which has not been widely touched upon and that subject is early reading and how it is harmful for health and brain development in children.

The Emotional and Scientific Needs of the Child
As a Waldorf mother of three children and a student of Rudolf Steiner's work, the early years of a child's life are spent first and foremost, loving the child and providing for their needs and then developing the right side of the brain and subsequently, the left as the children's 9 year molars start to emerge. The reason for this is two fold, one that is based on the emotional needs of the child and one that is based on scientific needs.

The first reason for not learning how to read at an early age, is because children are in an etheric realm until around 9. This is considered the 9 year change when their molars come in and the children leave the etheric realm for the astral realm. This means that the time of childhood (true unadulterated, no TV childhood) where one believes in fairies, angels and magical things comes to a halt. The child starts to see that they are not apart of the world around them anymore but apart from it, separate. This is considered the beginning of puberty and what some say parallel the idea of the "fall from the garden of Eden." Steiner, founder of the Waldorf movement, goes so far to point out that early intellectualism leads to imbalances in the body and diseases later in life.

The second reason to shun early reading, is because early intellectualism, whether forced or naturally emerging, stunts the right side of the brain and therefore doesn't fully develop the neurons in the corpus callosum, which is the bridge between both sides. At an early age things like language, music and art cause the nerves to be stimulated on both sides of the brain and build up the corpus callosum. Before the age of five, one of the most important stages that needs to be developed is the stage of imitation. This is where the child follows the parent around and cooks with them, cleans with them, sings with them, etc. A play kitchen with play food, caring for dolls and kiddie sized mops and brooms help to enrich a childhood and develop latter stages of adulthood.

Compromise and Balance!
I don't want to rewrite my book here, but in both of my books "Beyond Natural Cures" and my music and foreign language program- "The AMHC" I explain all of this in depth with research and footnotes. But to cut to the chase, regarding early reading and childhood. Whether a two or three year old "wants" to read or is coerced and forced to read, it is far better as a parent to direct the child into other directions. Just as a child might want to eat cake all day or stay up all night, the child that wants to read all day and night can be helped therapeutically. This is a balanced compromise from the parent.

But My Child is Dying to Read!!!
Ok, so you are one of those parents with an Einstein child that just picks up books and tries to read, how about meeting their profound urge to read with only a few minutes each day. Instead of buying them a bunch of computer gadgets with workbooks and flashcards, thereby, turning them into intellectualized adults in children's bodies-
Take or better yet, "read" this behavior as a sign that the child needs perhaps more than other children to develop the right side of the brain and therefore time devoted to handiwork such as knitting and felting, basic form drawing, water color painting and music such as singing and playing the pentatonic scales on a glockenspiel are the missing links in the American education system.

Childhood Left Behind in the USA!
What a sad plight American children have these days. TV commercials, shows that they do not understand, media coming from every direction and educational systems that neglect basic childhood needs. All of this makes for little children that do not understand the world around them and are in a desert of media loneliness and harmful electromagnetic waves. The daycares, which continue to pump out children that have been forced to read at the expense of not having their mother raise them, have become the model for the average child. I have heard more than one mother refer to their child's daycare as school. They tell their one year old, "we're going to school." As if this representation takes the sting and pain away from the child being taken away from their mother all day. There is a better way!

The Power of Media Messages
My 13 year old daughter was changing the radio station in the car the other day and we counted no less than five songs in 15 minutes that had something to do with consuming alcohol, "Drink!!" "Fill up your cup" "I'm drunk"..etc. She actually noticed it and it brought about a conversation I had with my children about messages in songs. This made me realize that little children raised listening to these messages are being brainwashed. Not to mention, the lack of imagination that children now a days experience, the child realm is now being misdiagnosed by psychiatrists as ADD, autistic, bipolar and even schizophrenic. Waldorf, for me and my family, has been a safe haven and a pleasant resting place where my children can grow and learn from love and not tyrannical media madness.

I can guarantee that before a child wished so much to read, there was first and foremost a wish and great longing to be a child and that drive was thwarted by a parent. When these basic needs and stages are blocked in childhood, one develops subsequent deviant drives to get what they want-which is always love and approval from the parent. I'll never forget what my best friend whom is also a Waldorf teacher told me when my kids were young, "We must learn to read life, first; this includes friendships, nature and the world around us..the words on a page are secondary to this."
I encourage you to love and accept your child if they are not an early reader and do not want to read and also, if they do want these things prematurely, may you honor their childhood and protect them from falling out of the beauty of the garden of Eden too soon!

AMHC Update: THe AMHC Kids Do It Again!

Performing together since childhood, the AMHC kids started on a pentatonic scale and the AMHC music therapy method as developed by Dr. Aurore and her oldest son (pictured).

So Here is an AMHC update, this has been a wonderful musical year. Kids are taking three to four hours of music per day, per their choosing. This time they are studying guitar and percussion along with piano. My little guy is progressing amazingly well on guitar and piano- he just completed "The Hall of the Mountain King" by Grieg. In this video you can see the AMHC kids playing along with a local middle school band. I was really impressed to see my oldest son on so many different instruments. He is definitely the type that can pick up any instrument and play it. Stay tuned for some more video updates and Christmas music!

We had an excellent and magical Samhain this year, or Halloween as my non-Celtic Brethren call it! I spent the week teaching the kids a dance as they wanted to do a flash mob at a school dance they were invited to by some of their friends. This was one of their first dances so I wanted it to be great, I am making the video of it this week. Besides doing the usual crafts and making home-made pumpkin treats- we had so many different parties to go to and performances, I could barely sleep! They also had a masquerade ball, the nice thing is that even though they are homeschooled, their friends include them in so many activities...this is so important as they get older.

My daughter was really excited about the Free People dress I gave her, it was mine but I just sewed up a few areas to make it fit her like a glove-then I surprised her with some silver pants and finally a make over. We had so much fun! My little guy went with his cousins this year as my hubby and I chaperoned with the older kids, it is very interesting watching your children blossom into adults. My kids are so sweet, they think of me as their best friend and include me in everything..we all had a good time dancing.

Today was an important day, we went to church for All Saints Day, but more appropriately, Dia de los Muertos. After the kids left their poison candy in the cauldron for the switch witch to come and switch their healthy organic candy... this morning, they awoke to a wonderful surprise. We made skeletons and a special altar dedicated to all of our dear ancestors that have passed on. Then my husband and I took the older kids and their friends to see Paranormal Activity 3...wonderful day : )

My daughter loves this William Blake book of poetry and paintings that I gave her. It was mine for many years and when she finished her Greek and Roman myths-she was looking for new inspiration. My son started on drawing the Viking myths and my daughter works on these- I think these are truly divine!

Then there was the unfortunate pain and drama of the dead gold fish, my son cried for three days. He gave him a proper burial with a cross he made himself out of sticks and I taught him Psalm 23- he was very comforted by that prayer and asked me to say it with at night before he goes to bed. I had always loved that psalm as a child and for some reason had memorized without ever even trying.

Besides all of this I have been working on my own paintings- I did a lengthy pastel picture of the four naves of ancient cathedrals in France- it turned out a bit spooky so it was just in time for the season-
here it is- these cathedral naves are roughly to scale.

Nu Face Micro Current Machine for at Home Use: Trick or Treat?

It's Halloween week, what a perfect time to explore natural face lift alternatives! I receive dozens of emails a week requesting my recommendations for "skin machines." As you know I am already a fan of color therapy, but that is not my only choice. There are many good newer products on the market. One of those in particular is the Nu Face microcurrent machine. It sells for a couple hundred dollars and promises skin and muscle tightening with dramatic effects that you can produce at home by yourself.

So, what does Dr. Aurore think?

Its been scientifically proven that micro current facials work, this is why there is a strong interest for at home use. However, micro current is very difficult to apply to oneself. For me, when I work on my clients it takes two hands, as they apply currents to different parts of the muscle. This is what causes the dramatic effects. Unfortunately, Nu Face has two metal knobs, that make the job easier, but certainly do not compare or mimic what a micro current machine needs to be able to do.

Dr. Aurore's New Painting- Arbol Del Tule, Amate Style

The kids and I have been studying alot of things about Mexico. We recently learned about the biggest tree the Arbol del Tule. Then we were learning about the Mexican bark paintings called Amate. Put this together with one of my favorite movies "The Fountain" et voila- a new inspired painting in my yoga studio.

The kids and I worked on this painting day and night for a week. We just finished it today. I am glad it is finished-but I love looking at it! I am going to take an updated picture of me with it soon. I hope I inspire you to create something vibrant and full of life : )

The "Shatteringly Painful" Truth About Ultrasound Use in Pregnancy: Lessons from Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise has guts. I really honored his attempt to come up against the drug companies over prescribing of anti-depressants. He was publically abused and humiliated for his beliefs. He also promoted the scientologist belief of a silent birth. He seemed to be genuinely concerned about the importance of bringing children into the world with conscious awareness throughout gestation and labor. Despite the fresh round of criticism that was heaped upon him after making such an unorthodox suggestion, to me, conscious birth is important and makes perfect sense. This is why I myself choose for my children home births, no ultrasound, no circumcision or vaccines.

What does not make sense about Tom Cruises birth theory, is that all of the various efforts to ensure the peaceful birth with no “sound” was rendered meaningless when he continually advocated the use of ultrasound and doppler on the fetus in-utero. You may remember him bragging about buying ultrasound equipment so he could see and hear the baby all day long. I have long been against the use and overuse of ultrasound in pregnancy for many reasons. I have read compelling research that ultrasound causes cell mutation (Doida, Brayman, and Miller, 1992) and most recently that ultrasound contributes significantly to autism, delayed speech and birth defects of the genitals (Rogers, 2006). These studies are not widely known or publicized, as they are not sponsored by the multi-million dollar ultrasound business. In 1993 however, The Canadian Medical Association Journal, The Lancet, and the New England Journal of Medicine brought the dangers of ultrasound into question (Wagner, 1999).

Within the American public’s reach is finally a study produced by a highly respected physician of the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Mostafa Fatemi. To preface this discussion, I should mention that I came across Dr. Fatemi’s research in the most unusual way. Several news channels ran stories about babies “moving” during ultrasound. They described Doctor Fatemi’s research as showing that babies move a little from the “slight vibrations” that the ultrasound creates. Gently describing the sound as rain drops on an umbrella (Wu, 2002).

Just reading these news articles made alarm bells go off in my head regarding the fetus and water. I remembered being scolded as a child for tapping on fishing aquariums. The reason given was because the barely-audible tap resonated and amplified in the water. Tapping on the aquarium would scare the fish and damage the fishes’ hearing. Upon considering this, I remembered how last year my three-year-old son was scolded at a pet store for tapping on a plastic aquarium full of feeder goldfish. My first response after reading these articles was, “Wow, so much concern over sound waves and fish, but little or no concern for human embryos.” I decided to do some more research.

I easily found doctor Fatemi’s research, which was available through the Mayo Clinic’s website. The article was much more disturbing then the media had led on in those pieces in the news. For example, Alan Neis, an ultrasound technician describes fetal ultrasound as high-frequency sound waves that operate at about

100 decibels!? That might not carry a full impact for you if you consider it in detached decibel levels, so let me make a comparison. For us, 100 decibels is the equivalent of a chain saw, a rock concert, and as Dr. Fatemi reports, a train coming at you at close range. To arrive at his conclusions, Dr. Fatemi measured the sound levels within the womb (Fatemi, 2006). One of the articles that rehashed these findings went on to say, that doctors have witnessed babies trying to reach up and cover their ears when ultrasound was applied (Williams, 2006). We have, yet again, another example, of how our health and access to information has been manipulated by corporations, medicine and the media.

Dr. Aurore's Home-Made Organic Rose Water: For Aging, Acne and Health!

As the result of my new book on skincare, I have received quite a few requests about rose water, because I talk so much about its benefits in the book. Rose water is very therapeutic, as it has the highest frequencies and vibrations of all flowers and herbs, a whopping 320 Hz. The rose, in its essential oil form, creates an environment in which no bacteria or virus can thrive. The rose is to the flower world what the diamond is to the gem world. In skincare, the rose heals wounds, hydrates, nourishes and tones. You can attain rose water in several different ways. One way is in the foreign food section of a super market. You can usually find food grade rose water there, but good luck trying to find organic. Another way is in the health food store skincare section. The lovely pink bottle of delightful rose water from Edgar Cayce's Heritage Products appears to be high quality. Alas, the bottle is plastic...even worse the dreaded and deadly number three type plastic as well. This leads me to consider that the rose vibration is very much effected by the inorganic and vile aspects of petroleum leaching.

Rose Water Made by You!

My solution to this rose water chaos is to simply make my own. I make it for my spa and personal use every few months. Many people consider my rose water, yogurt and rooibos mask to be a delicacy for their face and request it often. I mix it in with my signature Ruby Toner as well. It is also an important ingredient in my Exfoliating Raw Milk bath and Paradise Body Wraps. I have to make sure my roses are high quality and have absolutely no pesticides. In the summer I use my own roses from my garden, but in the winter I use the roses I get from my husband for Sweetest Day and Valentines Day. He buys them from my one of my most beloved websites organicbouquet.com These present me with a few months supply that I will mix up and use.

To make Rose Water you will need a mortar and pestle, a rose, 2 ounces of water and a pan. Gently take rose about four at a time and macerate them in the mortar and pestle till they are dark, damp and somewhat "juicy." Add this to the pan filled with the two ounces of water. Do this until the entire rose is gone. Gently heat water on the lowest possible setting for 1-2 hours. You will know the water is ready when the petals are the lightest pink and somewhat translucent. The color should have now transferred into the water. With this I do a few roses and store it in 2 ounce glass yogurt cups. Over the next few days I star to mix it in with my home made skin products. I mix it in my teas and make special rose smoothies and rose rice pudding for my children, it tastes especially delightful when mixed with cinnamon and vanilla. To Freeze or Not to Freeze?
I have been known at times to freeze it to get me through, but that is not optimal as you have to use steal and not plastic to freeze and when ever it goes through a chemical exchange the vibration is altered. This is much better alternative to canning, as canned and processed foods have been shown to have no significant Hz vibration whatsoever.

Wealthy Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Another Corporate Greed Scam

My breast cancer articles have been hot stuff. "Victoria's Real Secret: How Bras Cause Cancer" and "Are You Racing for the Cure or Away From It?" were some of my most popular blogs. Within the spirit of these I present to you another qualm that I have with the Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Where do I begin? As it has become another blown out American enterprise, not any different than Walmart-except sadly, this foundation plays off people's fears of impending death and sickness.

This year, I have come across so many things but I want to focus on just a few. First of all, the poison plastic bracelets, made in China that say "Boobies" "Race for the Cure" and "Feel for Lumps." Young girls are loving this attention. I saw a 14 year old girl, with no breasts and a cancer causing padded plastic bra wearing a bracelet that said "Boobies" to show her support for her mother's friend who has cancer and walks the Komen walks. Does she honestly want to fight breast cancer or is she just looking for that audacious Jersey Shore "Snooki" reaction from people? She surrounds herself with breast cancer, because of her mother, a life long addict of birth control pills and plastic with metal bras. This girl's mother used these dangerous cancer causing fake hormones before she got pregnant with her, didn't breast feed her and buys her anti-perspirant and metal bras so that her lymph cannot drain. This poor girl doesn't have a chance, but she is proud to be 14 with breast cancer awareness bracelets- I wonder if this poor girl is at all "aware?"

I just read today that schools are banning these breast cancer awareness t-shirts because they are offensive and the girls are using them to get sexual attention. Next thing will be the tight yoga pants with the word "Boobies" on their behind! Sadly, breast cancer has become trendy and cool- but I would personally like to see more attention to breast feeding which is still lagging behind. One fear that women have is sagging breasts, I myself have nursed three children for a total of five years and my husband says my breasts look better than they did in high school. I attribute this to my diet which is high in fatty acids, you can find out more in my book "Beyond Natural Skincare."

Not so with a woman I know, I wrote about this tragic story in my new book. In short, a dangerous lifestyle, poor quality foods, life long hormone drug treatments, including hormones in her meat and dairy...on top of this, she did not breastfeed her two children in an effort to try to keep her husband happy. This woman is now 40 and her breasts are extremely saggy and are abnormally large for her frame which is very emaciated. This type of look, when you have a genital part that is mutated and either atrophied or enlarged-shows endocrine problems.

I am all for embracing the natural female body, but what I am trying to say is- that not breastfeeding is not a logical way to avoid having sagging breasts, and in the long run you are only hurting yourself and your children. In this woman's case, sadly, her husband ended up leaving her for another woman. This is a case where putting your babies first and taking care of yourself first, before a man-would have really benefited everyone involved.

Another case in point is this pink phenomena. I am not a fan of the color pink but for a good honest cause I can understand the idea of it. But this "pink thing" is becoming like the sold out "green thing;" which after corporate greed gets a hold of it and sells it and manipulates it it becomes to mean- absolutely nothing but cash and dollar signs. Recently I received a magazine in the mail from a business called "Cosmo Prof," they sell a bunch of poison garbage for people like me that have an esthetician license to buy to resell or use on my clients. Usually this magazine gets thrown in the recycling before I can even take a look at it. However, I could not help scan it after seeing the Komen label on the front and noticing everything in the catalog was now "pink." Apparently, if you buy their cancer causing poison products they will donate a part of the sales to cancer research! Does the madness and stupidity ever end?!!?!!

I have to say that endocrine disorders are a big part of my naturopathic practice and skincare practice. Hormones effect the skin, the emotions, the organs and everyone. In this day and age we have all been exposed to so many different types of hormones: fake chemical hormones, animal hormones, plant hormones and our own human hormones. We need to really step back and expel these hormones from our body and rebuild our entire endocrine system. I use Ayurveda, Color Therapy and Homeopathy-along with orgonomic emotional reattachment. This is necessary as repressed emotions and feelings are stored and processed into the body system-causing imbalances and disease.

I encourage you, my friends, that if you or someone you know has breast cancer and you want to help them and support them-teach them about health, love and compassion. Many people do not understand what health is. They think they can slurp their food colored Slurpees, munch on Doritos and wear a little PVC wristband to protect them from cancer. This sounds utterly ridiculous, but it is absolutely true. Reaching out in love and encouraging people to change their lives in a healthy direction is much more effective then walking three days to "loose weight" for cancer, wearing a bracelet and dressing in pink.

Movie Critiques by Aurore: French, Spanish and Danish Films, 2011

You might not know that I am a huge fan of foreign films. This used to be a marital issue for me, but now my husband enjoys to watch them with me as he knows I do not waste my time on American cinema and if I do, it had better be worth it. The few American movies I watched lately were highly disappointing. The movie "Paul" and other unmentionables which were supposed to be funny-just left me upset. With the exception of the awesome movie "Limitless." I consider my time too valuable to sit and watch mind garbage. This is another reason why we don't have a TV. This keeps us from being exposed to hypnotic suggestion through television commercials and also wasting our life on ridiculous and redundant plots that mimic the hopelessness and longing of everyday Americans. I must not be an everyday American.....

There were three foreign films that I saw recently that really effected me. The first was "Incendies"- a tragic French film about a Palestinian family that moved to Canada for a hope of a better life. The plot which causes an emotional heartwrenching turmoil for the viewer- builds and builds on a foundation of a mother who dies and leaves unanswered questions for her twins, in which they need to fly back to Palestine and retrace their mother's tragic and truly unbelievable steps. Shocking- and unnerving- this movie accomplishes what no American film can- sans music and big sound effects. I cried, even the next day-after seeing this movie.

The second film was "Biutiful" with Javier Bardem. A Spanish movie about a man who is involved in some illegal activity and is faced with a cancer diagnosis, that sends him on a sad and hopeless journey to try to find somoeone in the world he can trust to take care of his two young children. The bi-polar mother that cannot take care of the children-leaves you feeling so frustrated. You hope the whole time the mother will some how get it together for her children but she doesn't.

Lastly, the movie "In a Better World" in Danish, it is an interesting look into Danish life. The plot which parallels many different lives and situations is centered around a bully and two boys that develop a friendship in order to deal with the bully. Feeling invincible their plot to take revenge on the bullies of the world eventually goes too far. Within this movie is a husband and wife's relationship recovering from an affair and an impending divorce, the death of the other boys mother and an angry boy who blames his father for his mothers death from cancer. Icing on the cake, another aspect of the movie is that one of the father's job is to fly to Africa as a doctor and treat patients in dire conditions-encountering some bullies of his own. This movie is something my whole family enjoyed and we all learned something from. It was just amazing and worthy to watch-twice!

Busy Fall- Paintings, Music, Changing the World...

This has been a busy month already. My children are taking four hours of music a day now. They joined a jazzband, in which my daughter plays xylophone and my son plays piano and two band classes where they are both playing percussion. My older son is now taking guitar. My tax dollars at work, as they are not taking piano with their professor of music at UofM anymore. Now that they are getting ready for highschool with homeschooling they are also sharing their music talents with the world. They are working on doing the heart song "Crazy on You" and they have been letting me sit in with guitar. Its been fun! In my in-between times I paint and draw, I have shared with you my art before. This week we were comparing Italian gothic cathedrals to French- we got into a lengthy discussion-which led me to make this painting of my own. It is a representation of the four naves of four french gothic cathedrals- Laon, Paris, Chartres and Amiens. I represented it roughly to scale. It took most of the night. The kids worked on their own pieces and my daughter played some Beethoven for us. I will post these videos soon- my son is working on Rage Over the Lost Penny by Beethoven- and I love it!!

Facebook & Teens: The Truth Behind the Veil of the American Family

Last year my husband and I decided to let our young teenage children get a facebook account. I was very hesitant at first, but growing up in a Waldorf home isn't always easy for children in a modern plastic world-and in light of that, we decided they could have an account so they could connect with their friends and family. Also, being homeschooled, I like the idea of them being able to reach out to dear ones whenever one needs too. Of course, we suffered at first from all the beginning facebook stumbles. There was instant addiction so we had to set limits as to how long and how many days a week.

During the course of this facebook journey I became completely enthralled with the underground teen facebook movement. It is not at all like adults, who use facebook primarily to hide their real issues and develop a web page that creates the way they want others to view them, an ego page if you will. But teens, use facebook to unveil the truth of their lives and family. Innocently and naively, they cry out on the facebook pages the truth of their pain and daily lives. You can really tell alot about a child's family by the way their facebook page is set up. So when one of my children friended a girl from the "wrong side of the tracks," my first inclination was to delete. However, not without first doing a case study on my own and through discussion with various friends and professional I am now informed that this deviant girl is not an exception to the American "norm."

Introducing the American Female Teen
A thin high school female trying so hard to look older by wearing clothes that are totally inappropriate and padded bathing suits. Her facebook pictures, mostly of herself, consist of a life of plastic "things", tv, cell phones and no parental supervision. Sexy pictures of herself in a mirror, sticking out her behind, brings tears to an observers eyes. Homecoming pictures consist of a frown through a smile, a dress that is way too short and a padded bodice. One feels uncomfortable looking at these things, a child trying to become a woman by advertising how desperate her life really is. Pictures of her parents and family- no where to be found. Where does this young girl learn all of this from? Sure, blame it on TV as she loves Jersey Shore and other shows she should not be watching but it first and foremost comes from the mother.

The Schizophrenic Split

Reich talked about how the psychological split in humanity is growing and prevalent. Nothing could be more true regarding the American female teenager. At home, at school, with their friends and their boyfriend- is all a split of a myriad of different personalities. In the case of the highschool freshman, one only needs to observe the inconsistancy and the contradictions between the pictures and the word updates to see this vivid example of the split life of the American teen.

Updates consist of daily ploys to reach out for human reaction and action. Using the eff word often and quoting words to songs is her plea to resonate with emotions that are not her own to express, as she is emotionally dead inside. However, she finds solace in the words from others-identifying with them in her core to some degree-she attempts to make them her own. Within the pages of these vulgar and superficial updates are bits and pieces of pain, a glimpse one could say of reality. One truth that runs rampant in her updates is how much she misses her life when her parents were together.

Months and months of painful cries for help. Her mother and father, whom she describes as her best friends, are also on her facebook- so where are they? Divorced parents, they are both involved in their own dating rituals which ironically reflect hers.
Unfortunately, the saddest part of this American tragedy is that while this young girl struggles to become an adult and a woman, her journey through facebook proves she is virtually alone and vulnerable to strangers. Is this the beginning of 16 and Pregnant?   A child this lonely with no interests other than boys, TV and facebook is subject to contract all of the society ailments such as pregnancy, drugs and sexually transmitted disease. Repeating the same cycle of her parents.

Karma, Sin, or Both?
I am reminded of a bible verse that the sins of the fathers are visited on the children. That has always offended me as I thought it was a bleak outlook on human life, especially when using the word "sin." But alas, I have come to terms with the word sin,  when looking at this family, specifically the parents. If there is such thing as sin, then there is no greater sin than ignoring and hating your offspring that you brought into this world. Even animals know how to birth, love and breastfeed their children. The modern sin (and the blame lies on so many generations of mechanization and industrialization)  is truly the hatred modern mothers have for their own flesh and blood. This hatred lies so deep that they will leave their children emotionally abandonned and available to the most vile and putrid darkness of human condition rather than truly attach to them...something they know nothing about and therefore cannot give. Rather living in the ghettos or the suburbs this emotional plague as Reich termed it- is everywhere.

We have heard of the disgusting and shocking practice of women selling their own children into sex trafficking or even pimping them out. Looking at this facebook page, the cess pool of sexuality, drugs, the unparenting and no love- I view this girls mother on the same level as these mother pimps.  As mothers, just because we are self absorbed, emotionally and spiritually blind- does not get us off the hook of what our most important job is-and that is to raise our children, period. We can do great things at work but if our children are alone and suffering than we are indeed a failure.

What Children Need
This young girls plea to have her parents back together is a knife in her heart that will continue to bleed until she dies. Unintentionally, she posts this same truth in her life, year after year. When you have two parents that are both too selfish to care-this is what you get. This topic is very close to home as my husband and I split up last year for a few months. We were able to sort out our differences and get our family back on track. However, with all of the tragedy in my personal life and having to go back to school full-time, etc- my children were still hugged every day, they had home-made food and fresh ground grain in their bread, they had their bed time stories and a mother who was never going to trade them in for a strange man and a breastini...I mean, martini, eh hem. I am not a perfect mother, but just waking up every day and knowing that I love my children, that I did all I could by giving them home birth, breast fed them comforts me at the end of the day. I will walk with them powerfully into adulthood-is all I can do and is enough-in good times or in bad.

I hope I inspire you to fight the good fight for your children, do not let them fall prey to the emotional plague of humanity. While we are all touched by it, to a certain degree-we must start each day with the intention to love and protect our children at all cost.

New Spa...New Book and Updates!

Welcome to my new spa, this was a gift from my husband and oldest son! They have been working like little elves getting this ready for me. They accomplished it all in one day-working very fast! I am excited about working in this new environment. My good friend, a massage therapist- and I, are planning a big Book/Grand Opening Spa party. There will be live music, prizes, mini facials, waxing, samples, organic music and organic food- it's going to be amazing! I am sending out invitations soon- hope to see you there!

Book Reviews and Updates

So much has happened this week, I am excited to share with you! Well, the bad news at the beginning of the week was that my infra-red sauna burned out and actually had an electrical fire. But, my dear hubby to the rescue fixed it and made it better than before. My Mom came into town for a few days and while we were out my older son and husband had totally designed a new office for me with a spa. It is so beautiful and I just did my first facial on it. He got me a very nice leather massage table. I did not want PVC covering but something very high quality. It is so comfy and wonderful. He worked very hard. I will be posting some pics in the next few days just waiting for my steamer and towel caddy.

Another good thing that happened this week is that I just got a review for my skincare book back from a medical doctor in California that is also a Waldorf school educator, he loved it!

The Color of Paradise, Viking Myths and Waldorf Forms..All in a Days Work!

Busy with my homeschooling schedule. Both older kids are still on Viking Myths!! Its been a long time, they just cant get enough. I have given them one more week and then we start "To Kill a Mockingbird"
Since last year they have been keeping draw diaries-where they sketch with pencils or calligraphy pens-this has been really developing their drawing skills.
My little guy is having fun with his new calligraphy pen- we have been working on forms and other Waldorf writing.
Watched a touching Iranian movie, one of my favorites for the second time Persian: رنگ خدا, Rang-e Khodā, literally The Color of God. It is so powerful, a movie about a blind boy and a Father who doesn't want him, or more tragically, is struggling to raise him and his daughters-without a mother. Through the course of this the father forgets about his children while he is trying to get a new wife. He is focusing so much on this other woman, that his children suffer but no one suffers more than the little boy. Along the way, the Grandmother- a treasured figure and support to the boy in the movie also suffers the cruel fate of the diminished son/father figure. This movie reminds me of present day America, how people get lonely and just focus on the first man or woman that comes around and emotionally abandons their children. I give this movie 10 stars!

I got many emails yesterday asking me about my make-up for the Ren Fest. As a licensed make-up artist- I have been doing make up for years. In highschool when I was a model and make up artist for Jacobsons and even when I do fashion shows now- you will still see me with the make-up artists helping out. I always do my own make-up. First of all, let me explain that I have what is called a contored eye. This means I have ample space on my eye lid for the placement of eye liner and shadows. It is truly fun to do my eyeshadow and I always appreciate it when I do others make up as well. I took this side picture of my riding hat but you can get a clear picture of how I do my eye shadow. As follows:

Lightest color, usually white, silver or gold- across my lid

White from my eyebrow to crease

Medium color across my crease

Darkest color slightly in my crease, slightly on my lid and underneath my lower lid.

Like the letter E and the number 3.

Just finishing up our Renaissance Festival weekends- We had lots of fun, singing, dancing, eating and buying medieval goodies! My husband bought me a few years back a leather riding hat from the Blonde Swan, this year I went back and bought a new set of feathers for it. What do you think? You cannot really see the peacock feathers in the back, so I will take some more pics of it to show you how beautiful it looks from the side. I love the Renaissance Festival as it coincides with our festival of Michaelmas- or St. Michael. September is a time for us to prepare for winter and halloween, and the triumph of light over darkness, as in telling the stories of St. George and the Dragon and stories of St. Michael.

Think Before You Cut the Cord!!! More on the Movie Contagion, Cord Blood Banks and Babies-The Discussion Continues

My previous article on banking cord blood and the movie Contagion created quite a stir! It is quickly creeping up as one of my most popular linked articles. I love when I am able to generate the American public to start questioning and thinking outside of the box or blocks, to be more accurate! This shows that all of the fluoridated water, pharmaceuticals and empty poison foods have not completely destroyed our ability to move in our minds and connect the dots. Coincidentally, Australia, Greece and Russia are my top biggest fan base outside the United States- Thank you!

Some emails I received about my article were not positive. One woman in particular thought that the words "cord cut prematurely" meant that doctors are cutting the cords on premature babies- which they are, but what I was referring to was cutting the cord prematurely, as in before it has stopped pulsating and all of the blood had travelled to the baby-where it should indeed go. I realized after writing that article that alot of people have been sold on the amazing benefits of cord blood banking without being told about the dangers. Just like circumcision, c-section, vaccine and ultrasound- four dangerous birth practices that harm children and are not given to parents in an honestly informed consent, we now have cord banking to add to the dangerous list and make it five. People are just being psychologically forced and coerced and the medical community is taking advantage of people who trust in the system and the medical doctors. If anything, I hope my information is a light in the darkness and a weight on a scale in a system that is tipped so far to the right with blood, money, death and lies.

A friend of mine made mention about medical studies to back up the consequences of these things. Unfortunately, the scientists are paid to find what they are supposed to find. The public at large, is always a risk. When doing research for my book "Beyond Natural Cures" I found very important and obscure research from other countries. In fact, most of my footnotes are from studies outside the United States.

We don't need medical studies to back up what we see on a daily basis- cancer, autism, birth defects, auto immune disease, diabetes. We see and know people around us every day who are physical and mentally sick on many levels. We don't need the medical puppet masters to wave their hand over us to open our eyes-we merely have to realize that our eyes are already open. There is a gross mass hypnotism of people who are refusing to believe they are sick and suffering as a result of their lifestyle and the medical community around them. This is where the medical community has really succeeded, by making us believe we need them and will die without their advice and device. I contemplate- is it really a medical "community" or medical prison camp- imprisoning our minds and health with their potions and poisons.

The word community denotes people sharing and contributing, there is most certainly a fascist facet to the American medical system. Ironically, this is fueled by capitalism. The only thing we can do as parents is to keep our eyes open and protect our family from being hypnotized with the rest of them. The awesome part about being an American, (as I don't want to seem anti-American) is our right to home school our children, wave vaccines, and choose differently- even though we get ostracized by our friends and families- we still have the right to say no and do the best we can to protect ourselves from the wolves in sheep's clothing! I leave you with the bid to think for yourself, be fearless and trust what you see and know to be true-personally- not what you have been told to be true, by me or anyone else!

Fear Control: Contagion and Umbilical Cord Blood Banks...

Lots of paranoia is spreading through out the United States for vaccines and births... as always, I mean this is the way we function here right? Get people scared and they will buy, buy, buy. Nothing could be more true regarding two trendy subjects: the film Contagion and something called "umbilical chord banking." First the film.

Just like how the "political" sold out scientists were trying to round up millions of dollars for the bird flu epidemic that they were hoping was going to finally kill all of us off. Yes, you know the same ones trying to disprove all of the side effects and dangers of using the HPV vaccine, well- in the spirit of that- comes the movie "Contagion."

A fearful doomsday movie with lots of well known actors and actresses. Paltrow, Winslet and Jude Law are all apart of the group of fear mongers. I am wondering, whats in it for them? I was under the impression that Gweneth Paltrow was natural and organic. I know nothing about Kate Winslet only that she was always one of my favorite actresses and Jude Law, it seems perfect that he plays a person apart of the solution to vaccinate the world. From what I understand he was trying to do that in his private life by means of something other than a hyperdermic needle...eh hem....

We know that stars sell out all the time and they are really bullied and helpless for the most part. Look how poor Russell Crowe was stigmatized and attacked for just talking about the importance of NOT circumcising baby boys. Then there was Giselle Bunchen, one of my favorites- a super model, natural power birther and a woman who speaks her mind. She was publically chastized for talking about the dangers of using chemical sunscreens on your skin. Its not easy being a star and standing out from the crowd.

What really disgusts me is the drama they put behind it, they reel you in with death, sex, and sound effects- so typical of American movies. In fact, I get sick of American movies because so many of them are just those three things, with no story line-at times they are so pathetic, all you see and hear is really just two hours of sound effects and pictures. Here it is in a nutshell: Gweneth Paltrow in the beggining of the film goes around with different men infecting them with her disease by the "evil and depraved act of sex," lots of big sounds in the movie theatre and the horrible outcome of death. Death for sex..hmmh..I wonder,

Who is really profitting from the movie Contagion? I was surprised not to see Pfizer and the AIDS foundation names in the movie credits at the end!

With that said, there is definitely a hypnotic pull to this movie, a desire to tell us we are nothing without the "god of drug companies and the medical community that works for them." If we don't all agree and fall in line then we risk public humiliation, which has not much changed from Nathaniel Hawthorne's "Scarlet Letter." It is so difficult to find the truth out there because there is so much effort and money spent on covering it up. I know this first hand from working in a doctors office as a nurse giving vaccines to unsuspecting children and families-for the true dicey and unnerving story, you can read about it in my book "Beyond Natural Cures."

Not to rewrite my book, but in my own life and the people I know and have treated- I see health when people live in health and disease when people don't. You simply cannot have it both ways-you cannot rely on a magic needle to keep you healthy so you can survive on Doritoes, diet pop and lunch meat every day, although the placebo effect will help trick your mind for a while to believe that you can.

Another recent issue that bothers me is the push for banking umbilical blood. A friend of mine sent me an advertisement paid for by the blood banks that state we have an option to store or bank our babies umbilical blood. No mention is found about the horrible and detrimental effects that premature chord clamping and cutting causes. Natural birthers, home birthers and midwives know that you should not cut the cord until it stops pulsating-this is to give the baby its own blood and oxygen. Already, there is the "push" from the medical community to take our babies blood, placentas, foreskins and vaginal births away!! The incentative for all of this is pure money and greed. Don't be deceived into prematurely cutting your babies cord for the bank of America, Australia, Canada, or any where else!

Learning Capoeira

So many people have emailed me asking about Capoeira, we are fortunate to have it out in Ann Arbor, the lessons are quite hard to find. I have provided a little video here of what the lessons of like. They have an hour of Portuguese and Brazilian music and an hour of Jenga which is the fighting dance.

My older son is now working on three hours of music lessons a day, he is also taking drums and xylophone. He is not interested in Capoeira but he still Irish dances with us, does yoga and works out at the gym now with my hubby and I. I hope I inspire you to keep exercising!

It was an evening to remember, my dear husband planned a magical evening for me. We celebrated my book at a lovely waterfront party. He knows how much I love Detroit as I was raised there. It was a soothing night to relieve months of hard work! Its not over yet, much to accomplish, in work, life and love.
He gave me my sweetest day gifts early, a Michelle Jonas Dress and a black Winter Kate silk dress- I am very excited to wear these at upcoming events. Wishing you a happy, early Sweetest Day- Michigan style! I celebrated my first Sweetest Day with my husband back in 1988- I still have the teddy bear and card...its the season of love.

Coincidentally- today is September 11th, a commemorative day for us Americans. I remember conceiving our magical summer solstice child on that date in 2001. This is phoenix rising, hope among the ashes- my son is larger than life and full of so much strength and love. I tell this story to remember-that life goes on, it continues, it grows and it changes...Bless all of you my dear friends,

Lots of things going on-its the first week back to homeschooling for us. It has been difficult because I am trying to get my kids ready for an entrance exam for highschool this year. Then there is capoeira lessons, we spend whatever time we can up at the University of Michigan. My children study with a Mestre, or Capoeira Master. My little guy is getting ready for the championships in Brazil next year. Besides all of my personal life, I had an awesome first publishing week for my new book. I sold already 20 copies in only two days. I am going to be leaving on a book signing tour soon-hopefully I will meet so many of my dear BNC friends. My husband and I are planning a trip to Australia to see all of my friends in Melbourne. I was surprised to find out that Australia and Greece have my biggest fan base next to the States. Now I am going to make it a priority to get out to those two beautiful countries and hopefully do a few workshops and site seeing. My dear friend and composer, Christos, from Cypress is arranging a group for me. I look forward to going there soon! Until then, I am still working at my two offices. Starting up the homeschooling again, although we work all summer. Now we are getting back in our schedules. More advanced Waldorf block crayon art, lots of artist reproductions, more hearts and advanced clay forms.

My dear friend Sandra from Australia is a magical fashion designer. She's designing a dress especially for me! I wanted to make her something special for her September birthday. So my daughter and I started redesigning our crystal hearts, this time with real gemstones! The one above is with ruby, prehenite, emerald and tourmaline.

Homeschooling is easy with the help of my hubby, he helps with dinner and laundry, so, I have more time with the kids and for work. He also teaches math and wood working with the kids. If it was not for this, I would not be able to do it.

Besides, all of this, I am waiting for my book to come out. I sent it all over the world for some reviews. Within the next week it will go in for publishing. Stay tuned and check out my Dr. Aurore's Healthy Homeschooling blogs for more ideas.

Chess Trophy...Im So Proud!

With everything going on right now, my hubby and I were happy to spend the day at my son's chess tournament. These things take all day- but we both managed to stick it out and I am so glad we did, we were able to see him receive his first chess trophy. We were very proud of him. I taught my children chess as apart of their homeschooling curriculum. None of them took to it but my older son. So, I taught my husband how to play and now it is their special bonding game. I personally have no time for games, as I am just finishing up my books cover and getting reviews- it will be out any day! Happy September dear friends!

Trinfinity8: A Hypnotic Scam or Magical Enlightenment Machine? You Decide...

I have been receiving alot of questions and stories about this new magical healing machine called the Trinfinity8. For $8,000 you get these magic crystal wands that attach to a USB port on the computer and they send "programs" through the computer into you while you hold the wands. With that there is color therapy and solfeggio music (in case you don't know the solfeggio is the pythagorean scale-do, re, me, fa, so, la, te, do.)Although everything about it lists it as a healing device for many different diseases, it officially is called a "Crystal Meditation" machine. I have also heard it described as homeopathy through the computer-working through vibrations and also a device that "clears" your mind so you can heal. Sounds a little bit like that special mind drug in the movie "Limitless," aye?

Researching the website and information, I find that a psychologist Dr. Forti had a near death experience and mystically came across this information to create this crystal meditation machine. It also said that there are no recommendations, case studies or testimonials on the website, as the FDA would forbid it. Why would the FDA forbid it? I am no fan of the FDA, but the fact that the wording, description and use of it is so eschew, fuzzy and misleading is really a turn off. This machine is starting to remind me of the diagnosis machines that so many people all over the country are addicted to now. Addicted to a machine, a computer, not to healing. As you already know from my book "Beyond Natural Cures" I don't believe we can rely on a machine to heal our body and mind cohesively.

As a cymatic therapist myself, specializing in color and sound therapy- I find the aspects of color/sound within the program very interesting and beneficial-but at a cost of $8,000???? Color and sound therapy are the cheapest and most effective forms of healing therapies around. Furthermore, Dr. Darius Dinshah, founder of Spectra-chrome color therapy, scientifically proved his findings on color and disease in a Philidelphia woman's hospital. Dinshah, specifically states that any electro-magnetic interference with the color application to the body can make someone very sick or even more sick. This is why with my own color and sound therapy treatments, I have no cell phones, TVs, computers or fluorescent lighting in the room.

When interviewing a Trinfinity8 therapist (a woman who purchased the machine and sells treatments). She insisted that no electromagnetic fields travel through the computer USB chords into the body via the crystals. She also used her and her daughter's experience as testimony over the magical wonders this machine can do.
Unfortunately, none of this was backed up with any scientific fact whatsoever. Furthermore, my husband is an electrictian and my good friend, geo scientist and author Dr. James DeMeo, specializes in electromagnetic fields and climate change. Both of them explained to me that there is no way that this machine doesn't transmit electromagnetic fields.

Going back to my anthroposophical leanings (Waldorf), I also believe that this age of looking for the computer to heal us, help us, and continually feed us information is very dangerous-and unhealthy in and of itself. The more we continue to disconnect from healing eachother, human to human and journey towards non-contact, emotional withdrawal and physical sublimation-via human to computer- we will continue to get harder and harder- more brittle, robotical, lifeless and dead. Our emotions, which are the strongest healing factors become more and more hardened and desensitized.

The human body is not faulty, it is organic and orgonotic. It is alive and pulsates. The human can heal, love, hate and grow. The ability we have to heal eachother, should not be under estimated to any large degree. Just as babies will die from lack of human touch, eventually, adults suffer life long consequences and diseases from being so far removed from the core and eachother. I invite you to look at your addiction to the computer for what it is, is it perhaps only serving a purpose for you to disassociate with humanity? Is it helping to keep you safe from the world outside you don't trust or truly know? Is it feeding you endless information that you don't need to know and are unable to change?

I decided against trying out the machine, as I didn't want to expose myself to the electromagnetic fields. However, I have come across my own conclusion about the machine. The three people I know that used it all fell asleep. this made them all believe that the machine "worked". Is it magic? Well, let me describe it to you. You sit in a chair next to a computer, you hold the electromagnetic wires or "crystals" you listen to head phones with solfeggio sounds and watch different patterns swirl around on the computer (this is supposed to be the "color therapy" part of it.) After watching the patterns you quickly fall into a deep sleep...or is it a deep hypnosis?!

Yes, I believe it is 100% hypnosis. After reading the book "Secret Don't Tell" which describes hypnotism in the West and how it is used in Capitalism to get you to buy and to control you- I could tell by the patterns which are scientifically called fractals- that it was putting people into a trance. Since I am vehemently against hypnotism in birth and all areas of life. I would not willingly give my mind over to suggestion. Because every time you do you break down your mind and make yourself more and more suggestable and influenced.

So, besides getting an unhealthy dose of electromagnetic pollution entering into your body (along with the special messages and programs), you are also cancelling out any benefits of the color therapy, or the sound therapy for that matter by the dissonance and negative waves created by the electronic machine. Then you are opening your mind up for hypnosis, which I would really like to know what is coming from the messages in the head phones, is it just a simple solfeggio? Perhaps I am being too much of a critic, but I don't like to have the wool pulled over my eyes...or should I say computer.....(wool would be ok ; )
Healing starts with humans! No machine can replace the living, breathing human being that expands, contracts and reaches out again, and again into the universe to make contact. Never forget the importance of human contact in healing.

My Homebirth, Reflections.....Birth in Love not Fear

Today was an amazing day, my husband and I took our daughter out for her birthday. We came home and watched her homebirth video. It is hard to believe 13 years ago today- we birthed this magical child- on our bedroom floor, together on a journey that has changed our lives forever. I believe so strongly in home birth and how this strong and powerful, energetic experience has helped to make my daughter the amazing person she is today and the woman and mother she will be one day. Made with first love, home birth, breast fed milk and organic foods-she has the world open to her. When I was 13, I met my first boyfriend, who is my husband and her father, This is over 20 years ago. I never foresaw all of these experiences in our lives, changing us and transmuting us into who we are today- but now I am greatful for each step we took- as every step, whether easy or difficult led us closer to each other and our love! I hope that you remember on your childs birthday, that it is your day as a mother-to celebrate the gift of life you have given your child, the sacrifice, hard work and pain. My daughter thanked me today with a card on her birthday- this was very significant for me-as I realized as she grew and also helped to deliver her baby brother at home, that she understands the high price-the fact that I sacrificed everything I was and had to give her a loving, safe and peaceful passage into the world-so that she would have the strength and ability to go out and live her life in power and not fear. Embrace birth and life! Happy Birthday to all you mamas who birthed your babies with love!

This year my hubby got us tickets to a masquerade ball- there is always something fun to do! I will be posting more pictures as they come through. Jyotish: Ayurvedic Gem Therapy for Health

This week my daughter and I were making necklaces. I am a kapha, but I also have an aries rising and a leo moon, which means I have two very strong fire signs in my birth chart. The vedic astrology is sidereal and it is different then western. Also, Jyotish, the vedic science of gem stone therapy, places better placement of the stones for birth charts. Based on cymatic science, the theory of wave lengths and frequencies, the gems with the birthdays make sense and correspond to specific planets. For instance, Leo is ruled by the sun and its stone is ruby or spinel-which is fire. Doesn't this make more sense then using peridot?- A cooling light green stone, which has nothing to do with the sun, but would probably do better for mercury in June (which is emerald by the way). My rising sign Aries, is a fixed fire sign and is very strong, ruled by mars. Its gemstone is red coral, carnelian, or sun stone. So, I am often trying to wear stones that compliment both my dosha which is kapha and that means it needs fire and warmth and my birthday.

My husband bought me a ruby necklace last year and about 15 years ago a triple strand garnet. The kids and I had fun taking them apart. We rearranged them as above, including all of the stones that I thought would benefit me, Jupiter-sagitarius-the planet of expansion- stone is yellow sapphire or citrine. It has been well placed in my chart this year. To attract Jupiters sunny qualities, I added some citrine we bought at the Ann Arbor Art fair two weeks ago. Some small sunstones that my husband and I bought this spring in Portland, Oregon (a stone native to Oregon) and a few carnelians. I really like how we arranged it, we practiced several times, taking apart and redoing. We are making some more dosha necklaces this week, mine are all red!! However, my daughter and I are making a rose quartz and tourmaline necklace for her as well. Stay tuned for more interesting blogs-and my new book, due out in September!!!

Lessons on the River, on the Beach and Life!

Had to get away this weekend, all the writing and working was getting me crazy! My husband has been so great with all of the cooking and cleaning- he was ready to get out too! So he surprised us with a tubing trip down a river in northern Michigan than we stopped at our house on Lake Michigan to visit with family from out of town. Feeling ready to finally finish this book and I just got some great medical doctors that are waiting for the manuscript- get ready, it will be here soon!

On another note, on the tubing trip down this river, we were all very sad to see drunk people throwing their trash in the water. The highlight of the trip came when this 16 year old kid in a kayak came zooming over to pick up a beer can. My 9 year old exclamed, "Your awesome" and this guy said, "No little dude, this is nothing, nature is awesome!!" It was worth it to take the trip just to have that encounter, my husband and I had a talk with the kids about it later at dinner and they were all very touched by that experience! I would like to go back just to pick up the trash, unfortunately for us, being in an inner tube- we were not able to pick up very much.

Then there were the brushes with the insect world, this week was really amazing, we found that big beatle above on the beach, it was so funny, I picked him up and then I couldn't get him off, he was stuck to my hand! Then my daughter had a beautiful dragonfly land on her hand, she posed in a picture with it, I ll have to upload it from my phone. Then my son found another interesting beetle. All in all it was an educational, week, life is homeschool~! Our kids learn from us every day- good or bad!

Out with Friends....

It's been hectic, been working on the new book two hours a day and then working at both of my office locations. They are only ten miles apart so, its not horribly stressful-but I also have three kids! Its been a balancing act. So, last night my husband and I got out with some old friends. We have known these people for as long as we have been married-and its always a good time! I am feeling quite refreshed. If you noticed I pulled my recipes from the blog, they are now all included in the last chapter of the book! So excited to share it with you, stay tuned!!

We just got back from our home in Northern Michigan. It was hard getting away from my book for a few days but it helped me gain insight and perspective. It was a fun time where we just let loose and enjoyed ourselves. I came back with some fresh new ideas and looked up some books that I had forgotten about. I am just finishing up chapter three, so I project it to be finished by latest September. It is all finished I have been writing it out in my notebook for an entire year. Now I finished designing the cover and I am getting all my footnotes and references together. I can't wait to share it with all of you my dear friends! Beach Ready Body By Dr. Aurore

Ready for a swim? Living in Michigan means we only have a few months to really enjoy the sun. My new book on Skincare and Weightloss goes hand and hand. Why? Because the information or should I say the simple but thorough formula I recommend for skin, and that which I use myself-also has an effect on weight loss. I should call it "Healthy Weight" as you often see obese people with beautiful skin, due to their kapha condition and skinny people with bad skin due to their pitta condition. However, it is known in ayurveda that if you have more than one dosha excessed such as too much kapha, water fat, and too much pitta, fire pimples, and then too much air (vayu, which what initially causes the mucus to back up and thus attribute to kapha). You are considered a hopeless case, but I am a living and breathing testimony that you can have all three doshas out of wack and get them under control! This is the subject of my first book, Beyond Natural Cures, however, look for my new book in the next few months-where I provide all of the easy answers from an ayurvedic and orgonomic standpoint-so you will know how to have both healthy skin and healthy balanced weight! Well, its been a very busy summer. I have been trying to update as often as possible as the events unfold. First of all, the new spa has been amazing-my children and I are just working on some final paintings for it and it will be complete by next week. Then there is my new book-I am finished! Now, I am at the process of transferring it to computer to save. This week I worked on a painting of one of my best friends. She owns a children's clothing store in Ann Arbor and she is such a beautiful person, I wanted to do something special for her. So, with all of this-and having three kids, it has been very exciting to say the least.

I wanted to share with you the championship pictures of my 9 year old son's baseball league. This is not a case of an average parent bragging about how athletic and sporty their child is. But an encouraging call to fellow Waldorf parents not to be bullied to throw their children into organized sports too soon, like the rest of the American masses. My son has always been very agile and athletically gifted-as compared to my other children. However, we were careful not to put him in group sports per our Waldorf style requirements. This was not difficult with the other children but was difficult with our youngest. However, this year we decided to put him on a baseball league, after he asked about it for quite some time. We were very proud of him and although he was placed on a team with kids a year younger and who have already been playing for 5-7 years-he started out a bit confused and rocky but within a month he had surpassed even the other children who had been playing for so long.

Besides the normal emotionally plaguey atmosphere that hangs around these types of American sport events- children crying when the don't hit the ball and the parents cringing and goading them from the audience. The occasional asthma/panic attack from a child who had a parent screaming and watching from behind the batting area fence. But, my child however, had alot of fun and the only stress I could see on him was the last day of the play offs where he realized they had an opportunity to win and get "that trophy" he had already seen in the boxes before the game. Overall, it was a great experience for our entire family and there were no breakdowns and no shipping him from three different sports around town in order to "sportify" him.

The Waldorf Way
So, why does Waldorf recommend no organized sports until 9? The reason is because the impact of the group; the expectations and the enforcement of compulsary group activity- can be very emotionally and physically taxing on children. Most of these children already are having their brains intellectually fried all day thanks to the no child left behind act. This is mixed with the communistic aspects of early schooling which means there is one group, one good and very little room for self development at the expense of the group. But then there is the after school groups, the sports. Now, it is the parents turn to suit the children up in their gear and although the children maybe initially excited-it doesn't take long for the adulterated expectations of the grown up to turn something fun into something painful.

I saw this first hand with parents rolling their eyes, starring their child down with "I hate you" looks and even withdrawing emotional contact before and after the game. The worst part was at the playoffs, one child who had hockey and baseball all year and 6 days a week-was dragged from baseball crying, his favorite game because the father announced to us, that he played hockey and wanted his son to go to the hockey game that day instead of the baseball playoffs. Our team played without him and won, but sadly, the mother showed up at the end to pick up the trophy for her son, she declared, "I can't believe you won without him, he is going to be so bummed out." Emotional pain for these children, it goes so deep and while one can argue whether or not it is truly child abuse- but killing the soul of your child bears consequences for many generations.

You may have noticed I have melded my Healthy Homeschooling page with this BNC Blog- just because, my belief is that it is all one energy, one goal. True health, is not just built on veggies and supplements but on a Wholistic lifestyle that encompasses education, work, emotions- the mental and the physical. So, in my work and this blog, you will see everything as our health and life goes Beyond, it is living and breathing, awareness in all areas of our life that makes a difference.

In this case, this summer- I have been working on art therapy with my children. As it is a way of life for us, everyone should connect to their artistic selves either through music, clay, pencil or pen, paints. This is a Waldorf foundation and apart of Anthroposiphical medicine. This is why I include art therapy in my own work. It is a necessity in my home, as we don't watch TV or play video games- creating beautiful art is a way of life, a way of managing feels and emotions and projecting deep thought into the earth realm.

My family and I go this week to meet with the local Waldorf school. As much as I enjoy homeschooling, my own work and their own lives has outgrown our little Waldorf nest here. So, cross our fingers, because we have been so blessed this year, we are able to put our children in the school of our dreams. So, lots of changes, but one thing that won't change is our home lifestyle reflecting our lifestyle in the world and vice versa. Reaching out and making meaningful connections, starting with birth and onward- is key.

As I see my home-birthed children, whom I brought into the world with strength and love and whom I nursed- grow, and actually reflect in their personalities their births- their ability to go forth into the physical realm with courage and confidence. I know that regardless of the future, the core, the sacrifice and the foundation has been set. I hope to inspire you to create something beautiful!

My hubby and I love doing our yoga routine together-

I got so many requests for another yoga video, I thought I would post this one we took up north. We have a another video after this- I call the warrior segment that we will do in my yoga studio. I plan on putting these all together for a yoga video. I will go over the names and the poses slowly and add the aspects of my Orgone Yoga. Here is a sweet video of my sons and I, so many good changes happening right now in my life as the planets align for the solstice next year- the photon belt, we entered in the year of my daughters birth 1998- is becoming stronger- and as our sun aligns with Alcyon of the Pleiades- I am truly excited about the energy. While some use this energy for bad, others for good- but regardless it is strong at the time. I use my own yoga to ground my family and I. I hope you enjoy this video : )

After a swim in Lake Michigan we enjoy the dunes

So, here are the last of some pictures before I move on to some new and exciting blogs. These are the Lake Michigan pics from out on the boat and on land. The pollution problem in Lake Michigan is growing and its real. I hope my children's children will be able to enjoy it like we do-but the truth is big business and generalized society just don't give a damn. It is not unusual to see people throw garbage off of their boats- and letting out their sewage in non-designated areas- humans can be very disgusting and if there is a real case of "immorality" it begins with humans and their general disregard for human life and planetary existence. Sure, we can throw around words to describe sexual habits that are lacking in self respect-but when you look at the cosmic picture- the whole planetary "sha-bang" it is the saddest story ever told. While my family recycles, we don't use harsh chemicals or poor any down our drain...and to the bereavement of our neighbors we use NO lawn chemicals or pesticides. What some people call weeds, my family calls herbs. The magical dandelion and clovers make teas for our liver, blood and kidneys. Stay tuned for some great blogs coming up!

So here are some pics of our Michigan adventure- I get alot of emails about sunscreen! So I thought you would appreciate this update. Don't get me wrong- we keep that organic Badger sunscreen available in 15 spf- in case we are somewhere outside for the day. Other than that- we need our life giving solar rays : )

Greetings BNC friends from all over the world! My family and I just got back from a summer vacation and I wanted to share it with you. We went to our family summer home on Lake Michigan and then we went to fireworks in Chicago. This is the first time we took the ferry across and also a trip to Beaver Island, MI. A remote magical area where we spent the days biking and basking in the sun like lizards! Hello to my new friend Karen from the Black Pearl. A wonderful yoga shop-if you ever go to Beaver Island it is a must stop! We worked on our yoga video on the back terrace in front of Lake Michigan and down by the beach- we have a couple acres on a remote area so it was really calming and meditative. My husband enjoyed the yoga on the beach as well. This video is a little run down of some of the areas we visited. I will be posting some pictures of our journey the next few days and then it is back to the shockingly enlightening health news- stay tuned : )
